우리 협회는 1961년도에 관광진흥법에 따라 설립된 최초 법정 관광단체로 반세기동안 한국관광을 선도해 왔습니다.

협회는 서울특별시 하 비영리단체로서 여행업(국내, 국외, 일반), 관광호텔업, 관광유람선업, 외국인전용 관광기념품판매업, 국제회의업, 카지노업, 유원시설업, 관광편의시설업(관광식당, 관광유흥음식점, 관광극장유흥업, 외국인전용 유흥음식점, 관광사진, 여객자동차터미널시설), 전망대업, 유도선업 등 서울시 소재 5,000개 관광사업체를 회원사로 두고 있습니다. 또한 전국 17개 지역관광협회와 돈독한 유대관계를 통해 관광의 구심점을 잡고 있습니다.

서울시내 13개 관광안내소 부스를 운영하는 것과 별도로 아시아 최초의 찾아가는 관광객 응대 서비스인 움직이는 관광안내소를 신설하여 문화부 최고의 상인 ‘한국관광의 별’로 등극했고 관광의 핵심 소프트웨어로서 관광인프라 개선을 통한 관광산업 선진화에 앞장서고 있습니다.

Seoul Tourism Association (STA) is the first legal tourism organization established in accordance with Tourism Promotion Law in 1961 and has led Korea's tourism industry for half a century.

STA is a nonprofit organization under the Seoul Metropolitan government having 4,700 domestic, international and general tourist agencies for hotels, restaurants, souvenir shops, cruises, casinos, amusement facilities, international conventions, photo services, observatories, tugboats etc. as group members. STA has established close ties with 15 regional associations over the country and has become the nucleus of Korean tourism.

Apart from running 13 tourist information booths in Seoul, it has invented Mobile Tourist Information which is the Asia's first moving tourist interpretation service on foot, and thus received the best award of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, 'the Star of Korean Tourism’. And now it is leading the advancement of tourist industry as a core body by improving the infrastructures of Korea's tourist industry.

协会是首尔特别市所属非营利公共团体，拥有国内外旅游业，一般旅游业，观光酒店，观光饭店，纪念品业，韩国饮食店，娱乐业，赌场业，国际会议业，展望台业，免税店，游览船业等首尔市所在4700个观光企业会员公司。同时通过和全国15个地区观光协会有着深厚的纽带关系抓住了观光旅游的核心。

首尔市运营着13个观光咨询台并新设立了亚洲最先主动接近游客提供服务的移动观光咨询台。并获得由文化部颁发的最高奖项“韩国观光之星”
